It’s time for our annual Champagne tasting, just in time to sip and buy for the holidays. This year we are very proud to have the champagne portfolio of Cage Imports on hand, as well as its owner, Garth Hodgdon. Garth is something of a Champagne vanguardist and we are honoured to have his experience, palate, and products at our disposal for this tasting.

Also in attendance will be Jeff Eastman of The Cat’s Particulars, the Milwaukee-based distributor of Garth’s bubbles.

With two highly skilled wine professionals and a bevy of transcendent sparklers at our fingertips, this will be a tasting you will NOT want to miss.

Introducing Cage Imports with
Garth Hodgdon - Owner of Cage Imports

After more than a decade long sommelier career that included stops as Head Sommelier at Bouchon Bistro, three and a half years as a sommelier at The French Laundry and a year at Per Se in New York, Garth Hodgdon was hired by Champagne Krug as their National Ambassador. For the next five years he traveled the country hosting tastings, dinners and educating the next generation of Champagne lovers. He has spread the word across all 50 states and has been a featured panelist at food and wine festivals across the country including Aspen, Pebble Beach, Hawaii, Los Angeles, TexSom, SommCon and Charleston. Garth has been named "Best New Sommelier" by Wine & Spirits, placed second in the Chaîne de Rotisseurs Young Sommelier Competition, passed the Advanced Exam with the Court of Master Sommeliers, been featured in many national and international publications and spent about 45 seconds onscreen in the documentary "SOMM."
