Thelma Carol Wine Merchants is owned by Jerel W. Hall, a certified Sommelier, and his wife, Rebecca Sue Button. With a combination of over 30 years of hospitality, wine, and beverage industry experience, Jerel & Rebecca are thrilled to be living their lifelong dream of opening their own boutique wine business.
Why the name Thelma Carol?
Thelma Carol is the combination of two of our grandmothers’ names: Jerel’s Grandma TJ (Thelma June Harris) was an influential figure throughout his growing up years who exuded next-level patience and understanding, was active in community outreach, and displayed uncommon kind-heartedness. Gramma Carol Bloemke is Rebecca’s grandmother, a matriarch extraordinaire, whose unwavering compassion, courage, and dedication to wisdom continues to be an on-going inspiration to those around her. A common thread of love of books and work with Libraries connects us all and is a prominent characteristic of our shop.

Do you offer your space for private events or tastings?
As of early 2025, Thelma Carol does not offer the shop for private events or tastings.
Can I host a small, non-private event? i.e corporate or non-profit cocktail hours, small celebrations, etc?
Yes, you can! Please email us at thelmacarolwine@gmail.com for more details on how we organize smaller, non-private get togethers.
Can we bring in food?
Yes, you are welcome to bring in food to Thelma Carol. We kindly request you provide your own utensils, plates, napkins, etc. and to remove all your trash upon departure.
Please note: a $20 service fee will apply to larger groups (5 or more individuals) who bring in food.
I see many many, bottles - will you make me any cocktail I want?
Our extensive spirit collection is served in its purest form, either neat or on the rocks. Thelma Carol is not a full bar and does not offer cocktails to order. We do carefully craft new, homemade, & delicious batched cocktails each week that are offered on our cocktail menu.
Do you take reservations?
Thelma Carol is a first-come, first-served establishment and does not take reservations.
What are your hours?
We are open the following days and hours:
Monday-Wednesday: 2pm to 8pm
Thursday - Saturday: 2pm to 8pm
We are closed Sundays.
Last call is 15 minutes before closing.
